Process Engineer MBR Systems Group

I. Kruger, Inc., a Division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technology (VWS) is currently seeking a Process Engineer to work in our Cary, North Carolina facility.

Candidate shall have a B.S. in engineering discipline with minimum of 3 to 4 years progressive experience in designe of activated sludge plants (with working knowledge of membrane bioreactor systems and biological nutrient removal); familiarity with BioWin or GPS-X modeling a plus, candidates with biological treatment plant commissioning experience will be strongly considered.

The position requires some travel (approximately 10% of the time) throughout the US with average trips lasting 1 week. The position requires: strong interpersonal and presentation skills to interact with end-users and consulting engineers.

Process Engineer Drinking Water/Re-use

I. Kruger Inc., a Division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (VWS) is currently seeking a Process Engineer for Membrane Systems (drinking water/re-use) design to work in our Cary, North Carolina office.

I. Kruger Inc. is a water and wastewater solutions provider, specializing in advanced and differentiating technologies. Kruger provides complete processes and systems ranging from biological nutrient removal to mobile surface water treatment. The ACTIFLO clarification system, BioCon dryer, BIOSTYR biological aerated filter and Hydrotech Discfilters are just a few of the innovative technologies offered by Kruger. This position will require an individual to work on process designs, equipment selection, budget proposal development, bid preparation, and plan and specification reviews for municipal and industrial water and wastewater applications (drinking water/re-use). Some field travel is also required for system commissioning.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Education background in Environmental/Civil/Chemical Engineering
  • Previous experience with membrane systems (2 years minimum)
  • Some travel (approximately 25% of the time) throughout the US with average trips lasting 1-2 weeks
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to interact with clients and engineers, including municipal authorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

SCADA Engineer

I. Kruger, Inc., a Division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technology (VWS) is currently seeking a SCADA Engineer to work in our Cary, North Carolina facility.

Suitable candidate must have HMI/SCADA experience, preferable with Wonderware InTouch or one of the other major HMI software packages (Fix32, iFix, Cimplicity, etc.). Extensive PC hardware and general computer maintenance knowledge also required. Candidate must also have demonstrable aptitudes for logical thought and problem solving in a computer/software environment. Exposure to computer programming and /or scripting a definite plus.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Windows NT/2000, NT/2000 networking. Experience with a commercial HMI package (Wonderware, Intellution, Cimplicity, etc.), AutoCAD, digital graphics creation/manipulation, 3D modeling, PLC programming, and Visual Basic/VBA and/or scripting languages a plus. Approximately 50-75% travel required.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

I. Kruger, Inc., a Division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technology (VWS) is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work in our Cary, North Carolina facility.

Duties for this position include (but are not limited to): The successful applicant will take input from sales and process engineering departments and will develop the mechanical design of overall systems, sub-assemblies and individual detail parts. She/he will also produce CAD engineering drawings suitable for distribution to vendors, customers and outside engineering firms. He/she will interface with our worldwide partners in adopting technologies developed abroad.

This position will promote, expand, maintain and implement all aspects of I. Kruger Inc.'s clarification (ACTIFLO®) and filtration (Hydrotech Discfilter) technologies. The sales region is twelve states and includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and Hawaii.

Responsibilities for this position will include (but not be limited to):

· Accountability for overall performance of sales activities in assigned territory to achieve municipal goals for booked orders and gross margin

· Achieve or exceed the given territory sales volume of the products through technical sales support of existing representative network and interaction with existing Regional Product Manager staff

· Visiting and coordinating the activities of the representative sales force, direct sales calls on consulting engineers and end user contacts

· Work closely with and provide necessary tools to external sales representatives to endure that sales goals are met for the territory

· Developing and expanding new business opportunities for the products

· Qualifying and follow-up of all sales leads

· Training representatives in the use and advantages of the products

· Develop and maintain relationships with representatives, consulting engineers and customers

· Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts as required

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the application and sale of equipment in the water or wastewater treatment industry. A Bachelor of Science Degree is required for this position, preferably in an engineering discipline. The candidate will possess a high degree of technical competence and communications skills (oral and written). Additionally the candidate needs an intimate understanding of the buying influences and purchasing protocol in the municipal market. Travel will be approximately 35-40%.
