I. Kruger Inc. was awarded a contract from the City of Sanford, FL for the supply of a four (4) MGD ACTIFLO® process plant for installation at the City's water reclamation facility. Kruger will supply a single four (4) MGD prefabricated skid mounted steel ACTIFLO Process train. The City of Sanford, FL will use the ACTIFLO process as part of their water reclamation and reuse facility where the "dual use" ACTIFLO Process will treat secondary clarifier effluent prior to final filtration and disinfection or to treat surface water to supplement their water reuse needs. The City of Sanford, FL (pop. 40,000) is located on the shore of Lake Monroe in Seminole County
Kruger worked with the client's engineer CPH Engineers, Inc with headquarters in Sanford, FL on the design, evaluation, and selection phases of the project. CPH Engineers and Kruger have worked together on a number of successful projects including the Sanford South Project where Kruger supplied a 3 MGD BioDenitro system and Hydrotech Discfilters.
Kruger's ACTIFLO system was selected as the preferred process due to its small footprint, quick startup times, ability to treat a wide variety of source water conditions, and Kruger's ability to meet the tight delivery schedule.
The plant is scheduled to begin operations by November 2006.
