Hydrotech Discfilter

Simple, effective and economical filtration in a small foot print: perfect for tertiary filtration, water reuse, and solids removal.

The Hydrotech Discfilter provides an ideal filtration system for fine solids removal.

By employing woven cloth filter elements installed on multiple discs, and utilizing an inside-out flow pattern, this versatile filter is appropriate for a variety of applications including tertiary wastewater filtration, water reuse, Phosphorus removal, membrane pre-treatment, and stormwater treatment.

Water to be treated flows by gravity into the filter segments from the center drum. The media mounted on both sides of the partially-submerged discs separates the solids from the water.The filtered water flows through the disc media into the collection tank. Once solids have accumulated on the inside of the media, the discs are cleaned by the counter-current backwash system.

There are currently more than 1300 Hydrotech Discfilter units in operation worldwide and more than 200 in North America.These systems range in capacity from less than 100 gpm to more than 75 MGD, allowing Kruger to provide a proven design for almost any capacity.The filters can be expandable to accommodate varying flows, and are in continuous operation even during backwash and high solids events. Discfilters are available for placement into concrete basin or as stand-alone units with stainless steel tank included.The innovative, space-saving design and low hydraulic profile make the Kruger Hydrotech Discfilter an obvious solution for both green-field projects and those requiring retrofit of existing sand filters.
